Garden Supplies

When shopping for garden supplies, one should always choose quality. There are cheap fertilizers that are not formulated properly. They will save you money, but will not work as well on your garden. More expensive fertilizer usually has the right amounts of nitrogen, potassium and phosphorus.

One important element of garden supplies is a composting bin. Composting bins allow one to make their own rich fertilizer using grass cuttings and left over food vegetables. All the ingredients are stored in the bin and the material is turned frequently with a shovel. A handy access door on the front or back makes it easy to retrieve the compost.

Garden supplies utilize rich soil to make plants and vegetables grow. A germinating mix is a blend of sphagnum and vermiculate that is pH balanced. It contains trace minerals to stimulate seed and root growth. This type of material is ideal for seed starting.
