Alstroemeria Colorita Lisa

Alstroemeria are stunning flowering plants that are native to South America. There are many colourful varieties created with intense breeding practices. Colorita Lisa is a wonderful yellow cut flowers variety that makes a popular garden plant. It is short in height and compact in growth but produces large flowers that last long until autumn. It is suitable for garden containers planted on a patio where it will display striking colours throughout summer.

What makes Colorita Lisa an interesting garden plant is the fact that it has a pretty long flowering period. It produces masses of large funnel-shaped flowers in late summer and autumn. It is a less hardy plant and needs protection against cold in winter. Remove the stems by pulling them off carefully after the flowers fade, to encourage new blooms. Apply a generous feed of fertilizer every spring to enhance blooming performance.
