Apple Cox’s Orange Pippen is a variety of apple tree, producing a crop of richly aromatic flavoured apples with a juicy and crisp texture. Vibrant, green foliage is accompanied throughout spring by a profusion of ruffled blooms in shades of white tinged with pale pink. After the blossoms have gone, Cox’s Orange Pippen apples will begin to grow and ripen, ready from harvest from around September onwards.
Cox’s Orange Pippen apples are flushed with reddish orange on the outside, with very thin skins and they are widely regarded as the finest tasting dessert apples. Although this variety is not the easiest to grow, it is perfect for fans of gardening and growing fruit to add an extra challenge, and they are well suited the UK’s climate!
