Clematis Avant Garde

A popular variety of climbing shrub, Clematis are generally known as bright and colourful plants. This is especially true for the Clematis ‘Avant Garde’ with its large, vibrant magenta flowers centred with pale pink and standing on slender stalks which appear all throughout the spreading mid-green foliage beneath. A great option for training on a trellis or when left to grow up the side of a wall for a more natural look.

Plant in moisture retentive, well-drained soil and keep the root and base of the planted cool and shaded by other plants or protected with a layer of pebbles. Plant with the crown up to 8cm deep to encourage new growth from below ground level.
