Clematis Montana Mayleen

A fast-growing climber and heavy flowering variety of clematis, ‘Mayleen’ is a great option for those looking to add bright flowers and colourful contrast to their garden. The foliage carries tinges of bronze when young before settling on a deep dark green, providing a nice backdrop for the rich profusion of small, pale pink flowers which bloom densely from late Spring and through to the early Summer months and carry a mild vanilla scent. A great option for trellis training due to its far spread.

Plant in retentive, well-drained soils and keep the upper portion in full or partial sunlight. The roots prefer to be kept cool and shaded. This can be done via groundcover plants or a layer of small, flat pebbles.
