Clematis Mrs N. Thompson

This beautiful Clematis Climber, originally founded by Nelly Thompson stands out for its large, purple flowers with deep red stripes. The flowers appear twice a year, usually between spring and autumn. The flowers grow exceptionally tall and enjoy like all clematis, covering a trellis or climbing through a neighbouring tree. This clematis likes sun but with its roots in the shade.

This gorgeous perennial enjoys partial sun or shade and thrives in any soil, as long as it’s fertile and well drained. Train the stems so that they’re evenly spaced on their support to encourage blooms to cover the whole plant and fill any gaps.
