An evergreen, compact tree with peeling cream and brown bark. The small, round, silvery blue-green leaves produce a wonderful, strong Eucalyptus smell. Clusters of small white flowers are produced over the summer. It is particularly hardy variety that is easy to grow and to maintain. Eucalyptus Azura is well suited to growing in UK gardens and it makes an excellent choice for hedges and screening.
Plant the Eucalyptus in full sun. It prefers well-drained, peat free, slightly acidic soil and it can even grow in nutritionally poor soil. Water moderately but do not let the soil dry out. This fast growing tree that can reach an ultimate height of 5m and an ultimate spread of 2m. Remove the damaged, diseased or crossing branches in late winter/early spring.
