Ficus Kinky Green

Ficus benjamina ‘Kinky’ is one of the most popular house plants available. Also known as ‘weeping fig’, this green leaved version is prized for its glossy foliage, which features deep dark green leaves and as they grow they will droop and overhang, giving off an attractive bushy effect. This variety is very adaptable and requires very little maintenance, requiring a slight trim to keep it’s shape and only requires watering once a week and/or when the soil is partially dry. It is best to leave this plant in partial sun, as direct sunlight can potentially harm the plant. An added feature of this ficus is how it is used to filter toxins, it can extract pollutants like ammonia and formaldehyde and purify the air around it.
