Guzmania Bromeliad

Guzmania bromeliads are an attractive and easy to care for house plant, the foliage of which consists of long overhanging green leaves. The most striking feature of this plant is the large star-shaped centre flower, these colourful bracts emerge from a rosette to form a funnel and they come in various fantastically bright colours. Guzmania require moderate watering, needing only a light watering every 3-4 weeks as the core of the bromeliad stores much needed moisture that can sustain it for a long time. Avoid direct sunlight as this can easily scorch the leaves of the Guzmania, as well as sources of heat such as radiators.
