Looking for a stunning addition to your patio? The Kilmarnock Willow is just perfection in a large earthy coloured pot or directly planted in the corner of a small to medium garden.
The Kilmarnock Willow look fabulous in the winter, with itโs drooping branches falling to the ground, covered in glorious raindrops and frost. In spring, the magic continues! As the chill leaves the air and the warmth of the sun entices closed buds to open, the Willow’s branches are filled with glorious golden catkins which really do resemble the end of a kittenโs tail. These little balls of fluff attract not only your neighbours eyes but busy bees who set to work collecting nectar. Throughout the rest of the year, soft green leaves, with a subtle grey underside, smother the branches from head to toe.
The Kilmarnock Willow is happiest in full sun and enjoys being situated next to a small body of water such as a stream or a little pond. It also grows well in a deep pot on the patio with a good watering regime. Well-drained, moist soil that is deep will keep this hardy little treasure content.
