Loropetalum Black Pearl Patio Tree

Loropetalum Black Pearl, also commonly known as Chinese Witch Hazel, is a semi-evergreen garden tree with leathery leaves growing on spreading branches in shades of dark purple and brown. In late winter, small, reddish pink, uniquely shaped flowers begin to bloom and continue into spring.

Loropetalum Black Pearl can reach an ultimate height and spread of approximately 1-1.5 metres. These outdoor plants grow best in moist, well-drained soil, and in a fully sunny but sheltered spot in the garden.

These garden plants are relatively hardy and low maintenance, so they need very little pruning, although some light pruning can be done regularly if you wish to keep the shrub at a certain size or shape.

A Chinese Witch Hazel plant is perfect for anyone who is interested in adding some year-round colour to the garden. Semi-evergreen leaves generally remain all year and the striking colour adds some interest whilst other plants have died off over winter.
