Malus โIndian Magicโ is a variety of Crab Apple noted for its vibrant colours and persistent fruit which last well into the Winter months. Mid-green leaves appear in Spring with a tinge of bronze, followed by small dark pink buds which bloom into beautiful, single pink flowers with a light fragrance. Nearer to Autumn small, berry-like crab apples appear on the branches in hues of glossy oranges and reds. A generally hardy and disease resistant breed which, like most crab apples, is a great choice for jam making.
Plant in moist, well-drained soil and keep in full sun. Drought tolerant once established. Self-fertile, requiring no other trees nearby to produce fruit though cross pollination yields the best results.
