Prunus ‘Ivensii’ is a beautiful ornamental tree that has gorgeous white flowers with hints of red throughout which grows on unique zig-zag branches. These deciduous trees are fairly low maintenance and only require light pruning between November – March and regular watering during the hot months. In winter and in regions that get really cold, any snowfall enhances the tree making the branches look stunning, iced in white.
Plant in well-drained, moist soils and position in a full sun or partially shaded area. Once planted, monitor the area around for any competing weeds. Once this plant is established, it will require only a small amount of care as they are extremely hardy, tolerating poor soils as well as drought and hot or cold conditions.
