The Red Twisted Willow is a deciduous tree, producing bushy foliage made up of narrow, bright-green, lance shaped leaves and bright yellow catkins in Spring. The trees branches are a standout feature – they are smooth and twisted, starting out as a vibrant red colour before maturing to a golden brown.
This variety will thrive best in full sun. Start by planting this tree in a deep plot of moist, fertile, well-drained soil, any soil type will do. The plant is very easy to care for and requires minimal watering in Autumn and Winter months. Increase watering in Spring and Summer, if there are spells of hot or dry weather. It does not require pruning unless branches are diseased or damaged.
