Characteristics: Clump-forming perennial. This variety of Rhubarb will be ready to harvest in early Spring, with the bright red stems being filled with delicious flavour when picked. Green foliage will remain from Spring through to late Summer, with cream flowers blooming from Summer into Autumn.
Growth and Spread: Ultimate height of 0.6m and ultimate spread of 1.2m.
Period of Interest: Stems of Rhubarb harvest in early Spring, bright green foliage grows from Spring – late Summer and cream flowers then appear from Summer into Autumn.
Water and Maintenance: Place the plant in bright, indirect sunlight. Moist, well-drained soil is preferred and water is required when the soil is dry to touch.

Our Rheum rhabarbarum Timperley Early is a clump-forming perennial plant. This will begin to grow edible stalks of Rhubarb earlier than other varieties, as it begins growing in the early parts of Spring. Bright green foliage will form in Spring and last through to late Summer. Elegant, cream flowers will then bloom from Summer into Autumn, adding further interest. When grown and picked, you can include Rhubarb within sauces, jams, pies and more.
