Characteristics: Clump-forming perennial. This variety bears red-purple leaves that will fade to green over time, lasting from Spring through to Autumn. Stems of Rhubarb will be ready to harvest in Spring, continuing through to Autumn, whilst cerise pink flowers bloom during Summer.
Growth and Spread: Ultimate height of 2.5m and ultimate spread of 1.5m.
Period of Interest: Stems of Rhubarb harvest in Spring, joining red foliage that fades to green from Spring – Autumn. Dark pink flowers then bloom in Summer.
Water and Maintenance: Place the plant in bright, indirect sunlight. Moist, well-drained soil is preferred and water is required when the soil is dry to touch.

Our Rheum rhabarbarum Victoria is a clump-forming perennial plant. This variety will form purple-red leaves in the earlier seasons, eventually fading to green over time. The stalks of edible Rhubarb will grow in the same period as the foliage – Spring to Autumn – being joined by cerise pink flowers from Summer onwards. You can include Rhubarb’s sweet flavour in a variety of meals and everyday snacks, including sauces, jams, pies and more.

They will grow to an ultimate height of 2.5m and ultimate spread of 1.5m. In terms of plant care, it should be placed in bright, indirect sunlight and planted in moist, well-drained soil. Watering becomes essential when the soil is dry to touch.
